Doris loved to play the piano and sing, she loved to entertain and especially loved to have visitors. She often looked after children in the family when their parents had something special to go to. They never had any children, sad as Doris would have made a great mother and she dearly loved children. She and George Matich lived at the top end of Dart Street Boulder in the latter years. They finally moved to the "Little Sisters" aged facility in Kalgoorlie as George's health failed and Doris was not able to look after him as she was very weak.
